This has now been about the third Major Earthquake on a Full or New Moon in recent months and had over 1500 Felt Reports from San Diego, 450 Los Angeles, Las Vegas 3, Beverly Hills 14 Santa Monica 16, Burbank 50, La Jolla 151, Vista 100, Thermal 12, Barstow 1, Needles 1, Silverado 1, Hemet 200, Anza 18, San Juan Capistrano 14 Ventura 1, Santa Barbara 1 and a place called Mountain Center had a whooping 340 felt reports! This series of earthquakes struck on the Day 16 that Northridge also struck on as well as Craig, Alaska from earlier in 2013 and while I have a lot of snow melting around Chicago we might continue to watch a few more days for some additional plate tectonics to take place until we start hearing all the snow is melting out East. As of this writing the NEW MOON will still have some effect a few more hours, yet, and we should keep that in mind until about the next couple day or so after all that earthquake energy just struck around San Diego.
Final total of just the earthquakes that made the National Earthquake Information Center list are 7 all together, including the biggest originally posted at 5.2 along with many others of 2.5 or more AND one each at Palos Verdes, and Eureka/Ferndale at 2.7 and 3.4 respectively. Earthquake Preparation tools need to be located somewhere that will be accessible in the event of a Major Earthquake, as a good friend of mine from Sevastopol, CA explained to me at a demonstration once.
