Just past Midnight and just 2 Miles off the shores of Nunsuch Bay on the Island of Antiqua at the Antiqua & Barbuda Islands in the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean, they have had a 3.8 Richters Earthquake at around 1:11am Eastern Time this morning HERE: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/usc000hjn2#summary . . . but it seems very possible there could be more coming for them! Also there may always be the danger of volcano activity in that region due to many of those islands being part of a chain of volcanoes that dot the region. 3.8 is probably not the end of all the seismic activity in that area and California is getting a lot of it, too, with several up in the Eureka, California Region including a couple in Oregon!
The alert for earthquakes to be happening as I have stated in one of my recent EQ Blogs will run through 11:59pm this Thursday, June 13, 2013 O.P. HERE: http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2013/06/continuation-of-official-prediction-for.html . . .that is especially for Los Angeles or to be exact Imperial County around the Mexicali/Calexico, California Region but could still go as high as say 7.9 Richters. Probably 6.6 to 7.6 Range. Not associated with the earthquake energy in the Antiqua & Barbuda region which I see on the map the epicenter is just over 20 miles from that Montserrat Volcano!!! I also had listed right in the headline of Fridays EQ Blog and also about 40 some miles North of Guadeloupe also mentioned in that EQ Blog! Keep Watching those Caribbean Islands!!!
San Francisco and Eureka, California will be coming up in my EQ Blog more into this week, but right now let us keep watching the Southern California Region and the folks around Antiqua & Barbuda!!! Thank-You for Reading! EQ Alert Guy
