4.8 Richters Strikes Iceland Near Volcano!!! ALSO: Swarm Happening at Volcano, Hawaii, Too!!! Update: Latest Volcano Story

While the rest of the world is watching and waiting for that one volcano to erupt and they are even taking a lot of precautions up in the area around it, there was just now prior to me writing this EQ Blog, the biggest earthquake that has ever struck Iceland in many, many years! 4.8 Richters is bigger than all of the earthquakes that I seen on any of the lists all through history and seems to be telling folks that volcano is going to erupt. I found the exact epicenter to be Vatnajökull National Park at 6 Miles West of what appeared to be the exact location of the Volcano so I typed in the name "Bardarbung" and it highlighted a spot just two miles north of the epicenter of the 4.8 Richters Shaker that struck at 6:50pm Central Time on Thursday Night. Probably should keep a watch on that volcano, due to that one being kind of close and there continuing to be a lot of Major Earthquake energy still out there!

I couldn't help also noticing the name Volcano, Hawaii coming up several times on the list, too, and am looking at this list and wondering why it seems like there are all these volcanoes all shaking at the same time? Redoubt Volcano in Alaska, too! In fact if Volcano Hawaii keeps shaking, I could very soon need to start its own page for that big list it is starting to look like it will become. At present it is something like 18 Earthquakes in the most recent 24 hours, so you know it is simply a long list of earthquakes listed as 4, 5, 7, and 8 Miles South or South Southeast of Volcano, Hawaii. Perhaps the volcano is that many miles South or South Southeast of a town by that name, not sure.

So, I have to also say that Volcanoes are not exactly what you might call in my field and so I am not really able to go into any more detail about what I know historically about them or their potential to erupt, because I have not been studying them and can only say at this point there could still be earthquakes and the possibility for something even much bigger yet will remain! There are plenty of alerts out there and while mostly the one single MegaThruster/Tsunami alert looms, there is still an alert for Afghanistan/Pakistan/Nepal and Indonesia. That volcano does look like it might be doing something and I can only say there are more Major Earthquakes coming and so that sort of makes it look inevitable that the volcano will erupt, but I must add there do not seem to be any of these biggest earthquakes exactly headed in the direction of Iceland. Volcanoes being what they are I first believe the earthquakes do not know where the volcano is. . . and secondly agree with the experts and say it is probably going to erupt very soon! Maybe it is going to wait several more weeks for an alert to be heading directly for it, as has been the case in the past.
