There was also a comment that came in regarding a HUGE Crack that appeared in Mexico and after checking it out, I realized it is easily worth mentioning!!! Like 30 or 50 feet deep and a mile long with no explanation!!! Now, here is the updated info I have been working on!!! First, I knew so I went back and checked and found Hurricane Arthur landfall at Moorhead City, North Carolina left a trail of possible earthquake energy and you might recall Iceland being mentioned there and although it runs out on August 24, something could still shake there with that. With all do respect for the fact that Typhoon Ramassun is the big one that is missing as far as being a possible MegaThruster. . . I located that crossing the Indian Ocean and EuroAsian Tectonic Plates and possibly pushing a lot of that Major Earthquake Energy up in the general direction of Iceland! There are several factors that could be factors in the movement of Euro/Asian and Indian Ocean Tectonic Plates since my sheet does say Nepal and it appears to be situated right about on the boundary between those two tectonic plates and therefore anything could happen there! With Iceland very much out there along that Plate Boundary where all those plates meet the Mid-Atlantic.
Last on my list is yet another very interesting twist on the whole Iceland Volcano question! That was the landfall of Typhoon Halong at Japan on August 7, 2014. My sheet clearly lists Russia, Sweden, and Ireland and a quick check of the globe looks like Iceland is situated right in there and if there IS too much Earthquake Energy heading for Sweden and Ireland. . . then it seems also surely headed for Iceland!!!
As of this writing there is no more to report, but with all of those potential sources of some reasonable amounts of Earthquake Energy out there and seemingly headed in the direction of Iceland, it COULD still shake well into September!!! Be Watching because it could also erupt at about any time now, too!!! EQ Guy
