Here is the entire felt report directly from the USGS Website now at Earthquake Central: http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/08/2004-great-sumatra-earthquake-and.html
Here is a video I made after that earthquake discussing how I tracked that particular earthquake energy from the landfall of Typhoon Nanmadol at Philippines/Taiwan directly to Indonesia back in the day:
Here's the link to Original USGS Page for 9.1 Richters Sumatra 2004 Earthquake @ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqinthenews/2004/us2004slav/#details
There have also as of this writing been a lot of small California Earthquakes such as 1.6 Manhatten Beach, 1.5 Westwood, and 1.6 East L.A. and am not sure if those are that unusual just that they are epicenters in the middle of the population of Los Angeles and the one is also near the home of the recent big water pipe break that you might have heard flooded UCLA!!! As I was writing this EQ Blog a 2.6 Richters struck near Oakland with already one felt report and it will take some time for all those to come in due to the large population at that region of San Francisco. Now seven reports including one from Martinez. I might need to update that one Saturday at some point as they come in and with all that shaking as well as a few in the Running Springs and Redlands areas something could shake California, too!!! I suppose possibly something as big as the MegaThruster, but all that earthquake energy hitting at California would NOT become 8 Richters just the same. . . rather all of 6 or 7 though!
So, Indonesia, Philippines, and Taiwan are right there in the middle of all that is going on and Day 21 will be this coming Tuesday and Day 23 Thursday. Clarifying because I have many followers in the Sumatra, Banda Aceh, Indonesia, and Philippines regions. . . this could strike anywhere! No earthquakes heading directly for any one point and in fact Afghanistan/Pakistan are also in line for this but IS a good time to start considering earthquake preparation. Thank-You Again For Reading!!! EQ Guy
