Was 6.6 Indonesia Earthquake A Foreshock For A Major Earthquake And Possible Tsunami In That Region!?

6.6 Richters Struck Indonesia at 5:30 am Central Time on Sunday and as of this writing there have been several 4 and 5 Richters Aftershocks. This Weeks New EQ Podcast: 10 Year Anniversary of Sumatra Earthquake, CLICK Arrow:
So, 6.6 Richters was probably not the end of the alert for Indonesia, and could become a foreshock or indication this Major Earthquake is lurking! New Moon Window will run all through Monday, so keep Watching!!!

Add various countries such as Slovenia, Netherlands Antilles, and Malta to that list of all those other countries that have been noted following my EQ Blog and a big Thank-You to all those readers in all of those countries, too!

My list from over the weekend also notes a 5.9 Japan Earthquake with 8 Felt reports from Tokyo, and 4 from Fukushima, and so I should probably mention the fact that there are a number of small tectonic plates that are involved in this potential Major Shaker and a few of them are in the Japan area. While Japan and Taiwan are not along the line of Major Earthquake Energy from this still potentially upcoming Major Earthquake and Tsunami. . . Japan IS a place where this Major Earthquake and tsunami could possibly strike just that I'm not really expecting Japan to be that close to the epicenter due to me thinking I have this system dialed in just a little bit better than that.

I suppose Japan might be along the "Broad Line" but even the broad line itself does not exaggerate so far north as to include Japan when the big windstorm pushed due west from Philippines. Unless you maybe consider that there could be enough western movement of plates in the Philippines Region. . . still I believe not enough major movement for the full brunt of this Major Resultant to strike north of Philippines when the line of Major Earthquake Energy goes east and west. With that said we should also remember to keep watching around Lima, Peru, too!

Finally, there was a 5.0 and 4.5 Richters that struck the Canadian Islands on Saturday and up until then I had not thought too much of this Major Earthquake Energy being of too much concern for that region. Now, I want to clarify that by saying there is still a COMPLETLY SEPARATE Alert for that area and 5.0 is by no means necessarily connected to Philippines-Indonesian movement, rather, the resultant from that Frisco Pineapple Express is still out there and the earthquakes up around Canada could be an indication California, San Francisco, or anywhere along our West Coast may also expect around 6 Richters with December 21 having been Day 10 after that storm, and Day 21 will fall on January 1. Be Watching!!! EQ Guy
