As if there hasn't already been enough earthquakes in the last few days, today I have all of the biggest ones that seem the most important, and one or two updates! To start with I just seen a report that lists only one or two very minor injuries of folks who were apparently running away at the time of the Christchurch 5.7 "Valentines Day" Earthquake even though it remained Saturday here. . . it was probably already Sunday over in New Zealand perhaps other side of the International Date Line! Or seems rather certain as the case may be!
The recent Oklahoma Earthquake is getting more interesting as the felt report is now updated and includes reports from as far away as Atlanta, and Madison, Wisconsin!!! Although this here information is not from our USGS, who generally gets just a few felt reports on such earthquakes as these, those must be persons such as me and you who look earthquakes up at our own USGS. . . and as a result then post our felt reports there! While locals in New Zealand post THEIRS at their very own "GeoNet" and resulting in the following: 5.8 - 17km ENE of Christchurch, New Zealand, Time:February 13, 2016 4:13pm Pacific Time, Nearby Cities: 11 Miles East Northeast of Christchurch, New Zealand, 3121 Felt Reports including 320 from right in the middle of the City of Christchurch!!! THIS NEXT Earthquake shook all over Southern California and all across the far eastern regions of Los Angeles with one of the most notable there being Whittier, very near where I'm watching for this big one to strike!!! Can't help noticing the last town at that there list is NAPA, California!!! Up to this point I haven't really been watching that area too closely for anything, but just can't help noticing that and must say that I suppose it's possible the San Francisco Region could shake, too. With that 5.1 Oklahoma Earthquake and all of that shaking out east it is now fairly certain that there WILL BE some shaking along the San Andreas Fault around California and maybe Mexico or Central America, too!
