The original headline for this here edition of my EQ Blog, was something like: "Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday!!!" However now since not a lot of earthquakes have been striking anywhere and I had to work on Tuesday. . . it's now more like Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday!!! But here it is now just the same! Up to this point including just this moment when my phone just rang with a 5.5 Tonga Earthquake, that's all that has been shaking, so here's one of the most notable ones from over the last day or so, this one at Italy followed by the felt report:

That Typhoon that passed between South Japan and Korea in that strait there, resulted according to me in the 6.6 Earthquake just near that channel there in Japan. Reminded me of another situation from 1923 where a Typhoon passed Japan just offshore but as you can read in the following, might have contributed to this HUGE historical Major Earthquake: "Some researchers believe that the presence of the typhoon may have actually triggered the earthquake. The force of the atmospheric pressure from the typhoon pressing on a shallow and already stressed fault line may have triggered the initial shock. This in combination with greatly increased wave action, The ever active fault line in question, which is not more than 16 miles beneath metropolitan Tokyo, runs into the junction of three major, layered tectonic plates: The Pacific plate, the Eurasian plate and the Philippine plate." So, we should probably keep watching Seattle/Vancouver/Cascadia!!!

There had also been a 5.0 Richters Earthquake that struck Burma and it was only moments after that above Pacifica Edition was already sent, but said to watch that region because we'll be watching for a lot more up that way due to it being directly in the path of all of those big typhoons that have been making landfall at Taiwan and Philippines! So keep watching all of those places and one of these days I'll have one big giant update on all the places where we are still watching such as New Zealand!!! And won't you just know now that I said that. . . New Zealand will probably get a big earthquake!!! Be Watching!!! EQ Guy
