I just did the math concerning that 3.2 Richters Earthquake that struck Los Angeles late last night and was reported in the news as well. Window for 24 Hour period after the EXACT MOMENT of the full moon ran until 1:00pm Pacific Time although I generally may allow a few hours beyond, this one struck at exactly 6 Hours and 52 Minutes after that exact moment and it is beyond my knowledge of the science of the Full Moon as to whether there was any additional pull of the full moon which was probably very nearly high over head out there in L. A. at the time. Although I don't exactly know what time their moonrise was, it could have just been rising out there. Huge number of felt reports and you can click on Maps, "Did You Feel It", and then "Responses" to see them all on the USGS Page for this earthquake at: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/ci15333497.php
Some of the farthest reaches of the Los Angeles area reported feeling it, including 1 Felt Report from Northridge, a couple from Van Nuys, 3 from Burbank, 2 from Glendora, and 1 reported feeling this earthquake all the way down in Costa Mesa! The epicenter of the shaker was 2 Miles Southeast of Marina Del Rey and 12 Miles Southwest of Downtown L.A., and at 3.2 the felt reports from Orange County seem to be about the limit. So you decide! WAS this Los Angeles Earthquake connected to this months Full Moon? Should the folks of the Los Angeles Area be told that full moons such as this one correlate with earthquakes? 30 Hours after that exact moment of the Full Moon, just sayin'!
So, I got the new alternator in, battery light went out and of course it's charging, and found another power steering fluid leak! This one on the high pressure side! Be fixing it tomorrow! EQ Guy
