7.8 Richters Near Tri-Point Iran-Pak-Afg!!! California Next?

Only hours ago a 7.8 Richters Magnitude earthquake struck along the border between Iran and Pakistan near where they share a common boundary point with Afghanistan. While there is a small town or two within like a hundred miles of the epicenter, it appears in all other ways to primarily be desert and mountains up that way. There are also two major cities just over 100 miles from there where there most likely will be some reported damage, however as of this writing the extent is as yet unknown. Felt reports will increase later on today but right now come from as far as 1500 miles away and include Delhi, Bombay, Islamabad, and Kandahar. This is a huge amount of earthquake energy and in all scenarios regardless of what might have caused it, I want to continue watching our own West Coast where we could still get some major movement along the tectonic plate boundary between the Pacific Tectonic Plate and the North American Tectonic Plate. The region that just shook hours ago is across the Indian Ocean Plate, but could possibly shake regions around the Pacific Plate NEXT! That could include California where we are already watching! I will continue to guess around 6.0 but with a 7.8 having just struck I want to say it could go larger. Finally the weather on TV is covering heavily the huge amounts of snow they are getting in Colorado, and the Dakotas, etc. with more coming, then switched from there to tornadoes! Please Keep Watching California, West Coast, Seattle, and Alaska for a Major Shaker through the coming days and week or so at least! Thank-You for Reading and Be Prepared! EQ Guy

I think you're right with this large, recent quake + the snow. We need to be praying for our west coast!

Papua New Guinea just received a quake on the pacific plate.
I've noticed that a quake on one side often means a reaction quake on the opposite side, although im not sure if that will mean Calif or Japan in this case - I guess we find out in the next 24hrs.
