Probably not the amount that I might normally send out anything official on, but this could still be enough earthquake energy that at worst could produce a notable earthquake somewhere along our West Coast or even right in the heart of California! Several reports of tornadoes having done some damage in Mississippi and huge amounts of snow reported in the Dakotas should equal some earthquake energy. This Small EQ Alert will run at least through April 26 with that date even being this months Full Moon. Range we will be watching for is 5.5 to 6.5 but that is actually going slightly farther than I might expect with about a 5.8 or 6.0 being my guess for the exact magnitude. I will try to get the path on the ground from one or both of those tornadoes as well as one that struck around St. Louis as well and have more exact information as to exactly where this earthquake or earthquakes might strike and update. Just the same this should not be a repeat of the June 1992 Tornado Outbreak which was followed on Day 12 afterwards by the 1992 Landers Earthquake. Since that was a much more serious tornado and correlates with a much more serious and quite similar series of earthquakes that struck California. Today we are looking at a much smaller event or series of events. Thank-You Again for Reading and Be Prepared! EQ Guy
