Wasn't really that bad of a guess saying Aleutian Islands and turned out not to be too far off, either! When phone chimed just an hour or so ago announcing a 5.7 Struck out there in the middle of those Alaskan Islands situated between Anchorage and Japan! SEE USGS@ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/usb000gd5d.php#details We might continue to watch for more shaking out there, but Anchorage might be next, or a return to that epicenter known as Craig, Alaska from earlier in 2013. Then Seattle and California, BUT today I want to add that it is possible this line of Major Earthquake Energy will be traveling much farther North and that leaves just a slight chance Yukon, or Northern Canada could get something. Too early in the morning yet for me to try to track movement of the Far Northern reaches of the North American Tectonic Plate and figure out what all it might do from where the movement of it is right this moment? Perhaps Azores, Iceland, Haiti??? I will have a full report prepared tonight for my usual Early Monday Morning EQ Blog!
