5.5 Offshore Eureka!!!!! Several at Mammoth Lakes!!! WATCH For More!!! HUGE Shakers Out There!!! 7.3 to 9!!!

Started to be a lot of earthquakes coming in this evening and I was carefully watching as a 6.4 struck Indonesia followed by a 4.6 near Mexico City, (Another 5.1 Just In) and a 4.7 Viskol Island and a 5.4 at Congo! THAT was when the 5.5 just now struck at Offshore Eureka, California only 15 minutes ago as I write! National Tsunami Center has a report on it saying "There Is No Tsunami Danger" BUT BE AWARE THAT COULD CHANGE and that there could be something HUGE Shaking that region at any moment and especially with the New Moon Window on the horizon. I just have a feeling it is going to be one of those nights when the phone is ringing a lot with a lot of Major Earthquakes, BUT this time with possibly the next big one like the night of that Japan Earthquake where we were all here suddenly watching that HUGE Tsunami on the TV!!!

My regular readers know this has been coming because I was saying when Truckee, California had a swarm early today in my previous EQ Blog from early today that it would be Eureka NEXT!!!! SEE: http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2013/11/california-shakers-continue-now-at.html

But one single shaker of 5.5 could now mean this major earthquake energy will all move north to Seattle, Victoria, Vancouver, and Queen Charlotte Islands and Alaska and it could always be as big as 9 Richters, too! Although methinks this is more likely the resultant of all the tornado landfalls and therefore should stay in the 6.1 to 7.3 Range tonight.

Do be watching for San Francisco to get some of this because they are very much a player up in that region and Santa Rosa, too! And watch for more action up in Eureka, too! Be Prepared and God Bless!!!!! EQ Guy

California Shakers Continue Now At Truckee!!! New Moon Coming!!! Eureka, Triple Plate Junction? Mt. St. Helens? Seattle?

The number one story happening right now is the fact that my phone hasn't rang in quite a long time now! Seems like it's now been like 2 going on 3 days since there was any earthquakes that were big enough to be sent to my phone and a check reveals that to be true!

Did find one or two that just came in under the threshold needed to go to my phone, though, with Truckee, California being the biggest news there! Right after I said in yesterdays EQ Blog that we should next be watching for the Southern California Swarm to next move NORTH. . . . . my actual words were Mammoth Lakes and The Geysers, but who would have ever thought Truckee? And now several there, too! Here is the list in Central Time:

The NEW MOON Window will now begin very soon, too! In fact to figure this one out you will have to subtract enough hours from the UTC Time that will make it one day sooner if that makes sense. Let me explain: The Exact Moment of the New Moon will be on December 3 at 00:22 UTC which if you subtract 6 hours for my time or Central, you come out at 18:22 on December 2 or 6:22pm Central/4:22pm Pacific on Monday is the exact moment and therefore the New Moon Window will begin tomorrow, Sunday, Night at 4:22pm Pacific or 6:22pm Central. Always watch in the hours before that exact moment as well!

On top of all that it has been a really slow last few days as far as earthquakes are concerned and we do KNOW that there is a LOT of earthquake energy out there and the New Moon correlation is running extremely close to the next swarm up in now Northern California and headed directly towards Eureka and the Triple Plate Junction!!! I suppose the Geysers are still situated north, yet, but with Truckee getting that swarm above, it is possible somewhere like Reno, or Nevada might get something, too!

Also something that could be as big as 9.1 might be out there possibly in the Euro/Asian or Sumatra Region so be watching and be prepared!!!!! Thank-You for Reading!!! EQ Guy

Banda Aceh Had Small Shaker Yesterday, California Had That Swarm, and I worked Black Friday!!!!!

Well, i survived the "Black Friday" episode of my life where it was my duty to observe as folks who bought those huge screen TV's came around back and picked them up and as the fateful employe of the local big box store loaded, and loaded, and loaded those TV's until at least until my shift ended at which time there continued to be a line along the front of the building and circling the parking lot of those same people still in line to pick-up! Not much else to say at that point except that I thought a good opportunity to get home for some leftover turkey and dressing and the rest of those mashed potatoes that mom made just for me and her earlier in the day! All in all you could say I had a great Thanksgiving 2013 and here's hoping all of you had a Great Day, too!!!

Although it does always seem to come up either when I refresh it or click on the link the second time. Finally during the course of yesterday there was that one small swarm that struck Southern California and as a general rule such a swarm like that will move to the north like the next day so I hope nobody will be surprised when Mammoth Lakes has the next swarm like about any minute now if it hasn't started up there already! Then, or possibly next somewhere up around Northern California such as The Geysers, Eureka, or the Triple Plate Junction. Finally there was a small 4 or 5 Richters shaker that beared the name Banda Aceh yesterday and we should continue to watch that region and keep watching because there are still several HUGE Major Earthquakes out there. HUGE Swarm Now Striking Southern California Near Salton Sea!!!!! Be Watching For More Major Earthquakes! And Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!!!

There have been a lot of earthquakes worth noting and I might not have wanted to bring this news along with Happy Thanksgiving Everybody. . . . . but there has been so much activity at Southern California that I feel it may be important for everybody to be aware of. There was also a 2.5 almost directly under the city of New Madrid at 6 miles Southwest of there as well as a 3.6 at Mineral Wells, Texas at 2am this morning felt in Fort Worth. . . although obviously by people who were up at that wee hour of the morning since those 2am shakers tend to get far less felt reports due to most people being asleep at that hour, so think maybe a lot bigger numbers there, not sure. Then at 2:48am another 2.8 at Jacksboro, TX and even fewer felt reports but even later hours and smaller mag. Never know there if any of this is foreshocks of somebody getting something huge, but just sayin'

Just in as I am about to post this EQ Blog a tiny 1.4 strikes Brea Canyon, California 4 miles east of La Habra, 4 miles Northwest of Yorba Linda, and 1 mile east of beautiful downtown Brea and I naturally just put Brea Canyon because I think the little town is situated in the Brea Canyon pretty much so whatever. Although 1 mile EAST of Brea might not be in the canyon, sounds like it might be in the middle of Beach Blvd.

EQ Radio Show NOW On SoundCloud!!!!! Also Fairly HIGH Technorati Rating!!! AND Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!!!

Took me a while searching that Technorati site to find out how high my ratings were, but eventually I located one of my ratings and currently my best in the category Science! EQ Guy is rated around 1500 but their rating process was changed around 2009 so that currently any time the EQ Blog has a comparatively good day it will go up immediately in the Technorati ratings! Naturally that will eventually happen, too, although it will of course be when we have an earthquake. There were also different ratings for several different categories including technology, and entertainment. Do not think I will be getting too high of a rating in the category of Entertainment mostly due to not being able to write about the movies I have been working on. Just not something the big movie companies have ever been comfortable with and as a result I personally have cut way back on that although at one time I had been known to write quite a lot more but that was before it started to be mentioned more not to. So for now I will have to just be happy with my rather high 1500 rating in the science category and know I am only so entertaining, I guess. That rating will eventually go through the roof. . . but it is hard to tell when that will be and it will probably go right back down, too.

As of Friday you will no longer be able to go to the archives at WORT-FM.org to hear my 2013 EQ Radio Show and so I drove up there to the station today and got clearance to post the show on SOUND CLOUD! I have now uploaded the 2013 "EQ Radio Show" To Sound Cloud and you can please Check it OUT!!! @ https://soundcloud.com/the-eq-alert-guy As of this writing it has only been posted on there for just over an hour or so and I have not had a chance myself to go all through the scenes and make sure they are all good quality transcriptions, so please feel free to try one or all of the different scenes out! For the most part it is all the original show with the exception that I changed the first song with a version from rehearsal and the first half of "Save Me San Francisco" has been swapped with the rehearsal version because I talked a lot more clearly and didn't mess up there, but you'll never be able to tell the difference. Also if anybody needs permission to play the 2013 EQ Radio Show on the air at a radio station alls you need to do now is fill out the same form I filled out to post it and you will be ready to go! Molly seemed to indicate they don't charge. Norm said a copy of that form is available on their website, too.

For tonight let me just say there are plenty of Major Earthquakes around the world and here's hoping none will interfere with everybody having a Great Thanksgiving Day!!!!! I found a 7.33 pound turkey at my local Zinkies and brought it home for me and mom to have tomorrow while watching the Macys Parade and did I hear Packers Game? Technorati Approves The EQ Alert Guy!!!!! Update on Atlantic Earthquakes!!! One Coming? 7.6 to 9.1 Richters?

First thing going on this morning is the fact that the Major Earthquakes striking the Atlantic Ocean are now continuing and it is unknown how serious this is or if something major could come as a result of all of it. You might remember earlier in the week I reported having been awoken by that big 7 plus shaker and later discovered it said SOUTH Atlantic. . . well that might not have been the end of it! While earthquakes connected to the Atlantic are a normal occurance, I suppose part of the reason we are paying particular attention to this series today has to do with the fact that there still seems to be a couple of Major Earthquakes that could go as high as 9 Richters lingering out there somewhere and there just so happens to be more than usual going on with the word Atlantic showing up on the list of latest earthquakes. The most recent just a couple hours ago was a 4.8 but this one struck almost due EAST of the tip of North Carolina and just a few miles to the south of all of those major populated areas on our East Coast!? 1500 miles to be exact and the report shows St. Johns, but I double checked the map location and yes, it is St. John, New Foundland, but also Boston, New York, DC, and Outer Banks and etc., too!!! So be keeping an eye out for MORE stuff to shake that region, but also know that it could also be just another Mid-Atlantic earthquake of the type that do shake out there on a somewhat regular basis. But, it could also be that Euro/Asian Tectonic Plate pushing all of that 7.6 to 9.1 Richters up against the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and the North American Tectonic Plate and Caribbean Tectonic Plate are two of the next tectonic plates in line if that IS the major source there. Might still watch Portugal, Azores, and France in there, too, since we are now looking at them from our East Coast and asking if we are next!

Just heard back from the Great folks at Technorati and The EQ Guy is Officially Listed!!! I will have updates along the way as I figure out more about what that means!!! For right now it just seems to be a Great Thing!!! Thank-You Everybody at Technorati for all you have done to help with earthquakes!!!

November 28 will be Day 31 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan at the Philippines and so we are ever nearing the major dates when whatever sized Major Earthquake is the resultant following that big windstorm will happen with the next few days being somewhat critical there! Today is actually Day 10 after the November 17 tornadoes and that will increase the chances for something to strike our West Coast, so you are up to date! New Moon looks like it will be coming on December 3, too!

The Yellowstone Earthquakes continued on today and when I got home from Indiana late last night I noticed we had drifts of snow about the last mile of my trip and the streets have been plowed here? Have not found out when we got all the snow but was really surprised!!! Several small earthquakes in California and so continue to watch there, too! Thank-You Again for reading!!! EQ Guy

Production Has Wrapped!!! Home From Northwest Indiana!!!!!

I will update this EQ Blog in the morning since it was after midnight when I got home from the Northwest Indiana neighborhood where I have been all week shooting a new movie that required a lot of the kind of character I have been playing without giving away too much about what we have been doing all week!!! Shores of Lake Michigan are a slightly famous part of Indiana, although the state does stretch all the way south to the Ohio River and the Wabash runs along the western boundary between Indiana and Illinois, although that does not really have that much to do with it. There was also the time there was a very famous address something like "1400 Fruitridge Avenue" for anybody that recognizes it! Yes, it was or possibly still is the once very famous "Columbia Record House" and once also famous "CD Club of America" or something like that where you used to get like a dozen CD's and then join and get one or more like every month or something like that. Well, that address. . . and me and my friend once drove past this place AT 1400 Fruitridge Avenue in Terre Haute, Indiana and it is actually two separate different places next door to each other! The Columbia House place and CD Club next door to them and we talked to a couple of the guys out front taking their break at a picnic table. Wonderful experience and still another Great story from the Great State of Indiana!!!

So, it was actually a little later getting out of there than I had hoped and I know I tweeted around six that we were wrapping soon. . . but that didn't happen! We hung around and took A LOT of little different shots of different stuff such as some Close-Ups of a few of the actors saying their lines with like all 3 cameras Zoomed-In on like possibly an Extreme Close-Up and some other stuff that took about two hours all together and long after Christian Slater had left the casino!!! Ironically when I got out from work the Elton John song "Bennie and the Jets" was playing so I turned it up full blast as I was negotiating the highway on my way to find the Chicago SkyWay to head for home! The legend is that the song "Bennie And The Jets" was supposed to have been written or have something to do with Sir Elton John's friendship with the late great Bennie Binnion who originally built the original Horseshoe Casino out on Freemont Street in beautiful downtown Las Vegas!!! Not sure if the jets have anything to do with all the jets that fly over during that great light show at the "Freemont Street Experience" or not.

I will have all the updated Earthquake information in the morning since I got out of there at 9:02pm CST, and arrived home at about 11:55pm CST. . . and a lot of you probably know most of Indiana is on Eastern Time not to confuse you even more like it totally confused me for since about last Friday when I arrived there! Hello From FAR South Chicago on Film Production Job!!! Huge Atlantic Earthquake??? And Latest Yellowstone Swarm!

Just got finished working over 12 hours today on the latest big time movie project to hit Chicago and am writing right now from far South of Chicago by The 80. . . around the old Pullman City Neighborhood, past the roadhouse where Madonna shot that great dance scene in the movie "League of Their Own" back in the day. Also very near the neighborhood where I worked on the movie "Judgment Night" with Emilio Estevez and Dennis Leary in that great scene where he counts out "One Mississippi, Two Mississippi, Three Mississippi" while walking through the rail yard that was over here on around South 104th or South 105th Streets, somewhere in there. My scene of course was shot on Cottage Grove Avenue under the old Elevated Train that is no longer there! That was the scene where all the guys get lost in that RV driving around the Southside of Chicago and I played a bum pushing a shopping cart and got a great Close-Up!!! Today I had a great time working with one of my very favorite stars from my old "Brat Pack" days who was in one or two of my all time fav movies and also had like at least one episode appearance in an old Star Trek: Next Generation show, too! Tell you all later who he is, due to policy of not liking to give out any info.

Phone rang very early this morning just the same due to earthquakes not stopping and it looked like it said 7.9 Atlantic Ocean off the coast of New York, Boston, and Washington, DC!!! Looked, and looked, and looked thinking at 1am that couldn't be exactly right and there were actually TWO!!! a 6.8 AND that 7.9 which after looking. . . was actually a 7.0 so I immediately went right back to sleep!!!

Just now noticed Yellowstone is getting some more swarms? Check out the felt report which if you don't mind I might not have time tonight to edit this list nicely as I usually do! 5.3 And 5.4 Strikes 90 Miles From Baghdad!!! And 2 Others! Also My Damage Report From Kokomo!!!

There might be earthquakes in the Baghdad Region on a regular basis, but I was just real surprised when I saw them late on Sunday Night and can't say the last time there had been any! On top of that we are of course watching for something HUGE to strike and so I want to say with all of that there might be a chance that region could get more. Probably means that major earthquake energy is passing through that region and might be some more of those Portugal, France, Azores, Euro/Asian Earthquakes in the coming hours and days. Sorry I'm working on the road tonight and do not have my notes and so I will not have those timelines for you right this moment.

As we continue to watch California and wait, wait, wait to see what will happen there, I will be working Monday and Tuesday with a lot of those very Los Angeles Film Production folks here in the far South Suburbs of Chicago more over towards Indiana but probably shouldn't say exactly where right now. Needless to say it could be a little awkward waiting for notice to come across in whatever form as they do these days with 500 people there, you know, notice of a Major Earthquake striking California or Los Angeles!!! Reminiscent of working in all that film production and the Northridge Earthquake striking! For that matter let us hope nothing DOES happen with all my L.A. Film Production folks being in town over there on this great project!

I was SHOCKED at all the severe damage I saw in that little town just North of Indianapolis and West of Fort Wayne all places where I have many, many good friends and have had a lot of good times over the years including a lot of camping, racing, outdoor drive-in movies, and just passing through on my way to other places! 5.5 West of Banda Aceh, 2.3 at Mount Hood!!! Also 2 up in China, KEEP Watching For Big Earthquake!!! Up to 9.1 Richters!!!

There was also a 3.0 at Grand Canyon Village, Arizona but the magnitude has been changing on the front page of the National Earthquake Information Center so it is subject to change as I am writing this. Many, many earthquake things going on here and just a lot of earthquakes Friday in general. I am constantly checking my phone because it keeps ringing and ringing mostly because I have it set to RING when a text message comes in rather than the usual setting I normally used or a chime.

Probably the biggest of them all on Friday was the series of 5 Magnitude Earthquakes that struck up in China where I might have automatically assumed that it might be a bigger concern. Luckily it looks like only a few felt reports and have not heard if the damage was too bad if there was any. Could have missed populated areas rather easily up in that region but on the other hand a 5.5 can do a lot of damage, too!

So that was basically how my day went! And I continue to watch ever so closely and will continue to keep on watching through this weekend knowing California could very easily get that 6.1 to 7.3 Richters at any moment, or worse. . . some or all of the 9 Richters that is also out there unaccounted for and waiting to happen! I am preparing for several days of work in the far South of Chicago, Indiana Region on a Major Movie Project with a few of my great friends from Hollywood, actually the one dude is an old buddy of mine from my living in Laguna Beach Days!!! I will certainly be on edge there working with all of the wonderful folks who are working in Indiana that came from L.A. and waiting. . . for my phone to ring to tell me there was just a Major Earthquake out there, and HOW BIG!!!!! 4.5 Richters Strikes 258 Miles WSW of Paris, France!!! NEW California Prediction Posted Yesterday!!! 6.1 to 7.3 Richters!!!

Just another day on Thursday as I scrolled through the list of all the earthquakes that strike looking for what all has been going on as far as earthquakes around the world. That was when I spotted it. . . and I could hardly beleive my eyes!!! The words FRANCE all of the sudden stood out right in front of me and I couldn't click on it fast enough to find out what it was and where it struck! 500 Miles North of Lisbon, Portugal where at one time in history they also had an earthquake strike there! Yes, it was 1755 and the magnitude is today estimated to have been something like 8.5 or 9 Richters! According to Wikipedia.org there was 85 percent of the buildings in Lisbon, Portugal destroyed and the resulting tsunami was recorded at 66 feet where it clobbered Africa! The tsunami also destroyed all of the ports of the Azores and damaged or destroyed just about everything that existed around the Lisbon, Portugal region back in the day! NOW, due to the fact that I had been watching specifically THAT Exact area, I have to now say we might continue to especially watch that shaky, shaky, Lisbon, Portugal as well as the Azores just offshore of France and Portugal and I suppose we might continue to keep watching France for a while, yet, too! Don't forget in case you didn't read that entire story that Lisbon also had similar Major Earthquakes on 1531, 1597, 1724 and 1750 and many others. Therefore that is why you might now understand, I have been keeping such a close eye on that region! The final death toll varies but seems to come in at somewhere between 10,000 and 100,000!!!

There is still a chance that region will get MORE of this before it is all over, too!

NEW Official Prediction California and West Coast for 6.1 to 7.3 Richters!!!

Noticed today that we are now getting those Pacific-Antarctic earthquakes as well as more Scotia Sea earthquakes and it looks like they are somehow connecting together so as to be moving one tectonic plate or the other in some direction with a 5.3 West of Bangkok, Thailand also in there. There was also one at the Mariana Islands and one NNE of Abu Dhabi and so for sure we are probably looking at something major happening soon! Noticed one or two other earthqukes up in that Euro/Asian Region, too.

I completed all my research today into the days and hours all of the tornado outbreaks and resultant earthquakes struck including the Landers Earthquke and have now written and will soon probably file a NEW Official Prediction California and West Coast that will run until Midnight December 31, 2013 as we ring in the New Year! This one is just a little smaller than the other one that will continue to run for California. This one 6.1 to 7.3 and more sure. . . the other one only for the long-shot that California could get some of that major up to 9.1 Richters from the two Major EQ Alerts still in effect for Bangkok, and Germany, Portugal, Azores, and France.

Finally I want to add this part here regarding the fact that in my research I found the May 2004 Tornado Outbreak preceded the 4.2 LaSalle County, Illinois Earthquake and immediately posted something to my EQ Twitter page to note that we might expect a repeat! When I arrived home later it occured to me that the 4.2 LaSalle County Earthquke might have been the Ottawa, Illinois Earthquake and so I checked Ottawa Earthquke and found it was! Yes, they're one in the same in case anybody else had them mixed up, too! Then, I reasoned that because one series of tornado outbreaks just so happened to come to preceed such a LaSalle County, Illinois Earthquake. . . does that mean the November 17, 2013 Tornado Outbreak of Illinois, and Indiana might also come to preceed another Illinois Earthquake? Well, well, well. . . and I came to the conclusion probably not, necesarilly. Therefore if you read all the way through the NEW Calfornia Officail Prediction you will only find that info as a footnote and a close call for folks in Illinios currently weathering all the damage from tornadoes is enough, hopefully they won't have to add another "Illinois Earthquke" to their list of problems! Pacific Tectonic Plate Continues To MOVE!!! Where Will Big One Strike? And When? California or West Coast? 7.6 to 9.1???

After all of that movement this morning, I am just now getting a lot more going on and now including a 5.1 that just shook at press time here which followed closely on the heals of a 5.2 and 4.9 all a few miles south of New Zealand on the tectonic plate boundary between the Pacific and Antarctic Tectonic Plates. That is a highly unusual amount of tectonic plate movement and it is very difficult to tell what direction all that earthquake energy is heading out there at the bottom of the world and so close actually to the South Pole itself and actually near a sort of short-cut that could take the earthquake energy back and up towards Japan or Indonesia as well as possibly Philippines. Just three hours in between the three earthquakes and it just so happens to coincide with that big 7.7 that just struck on the other side of the Southern Tip of South America like I seem to remember saying? So, all of this earthquake energy could also push the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate more and possibly in a new direction taking it up into Nepal, Tajikistan, or even closer to Moscow and Iceland.

Along with the Texas Earthquake today that a comment mentioned we had been watching for anyways, there will now be lots, and lots, and lots more of these and expect Texas to continue shaking, and shaking, and shaking all through now into 2014 as they will in all likelihood be shake, shake, shaking us into the New Year 2014!!! That will also include Oklahoma, where they have already been shaking, so expect them to shake more in the coming days, except for the fact that they have BEEN shaking, so also watch California because I have now reviewed that already standing Official Prediction and looks like I will need to write up and file a completely different and new one as soon as I can get around to it.

Until then be aware that the seriousness of the EQ Alert for California is now WAY UP from the "Highly Unlikely" that I have written in the lead paragraph of the current O.P. for California, to NOW something more like "Very Good Chance" that a Major Earthquake as big as 6.1 to 7.3 Richters COULD Strike California!!! 6.3 Richters Strikes 500 Miles South of Cebu City, Philippines!!! 5.9 Mariana Just In!!! Huge Double-Whammy Could Still Be Out There!!!!! 7.6 to 9.1 Richters!!!

There's a whole list of places shaking today! Spent most of the morning pouring over all the facts that came in over the night including a 4.8 and 5.7 a few miles from Yap, Micronesia where you might remember I discovered to have been situated just offshore from where Super Typhoon Haiyan made landfall at the Philippines on November 7, 2013 and it is currently Day 12 after that huge landfall with so much damage! Most unfortunate to have to also report today that there has also been a 6.3 Richters Major Earthquake that struck about 500 Miles South of Cebu City, Philippines and I noticed immediately that Cebu City was so clearly visible there on the map! Those two combined movements of the Pacific Tectonic Plate (or whichever tectonic plate) moving probably in the general direction the big windstorm pushed the Philippines at landfall indicate that these other two at Iran (the 4.9 and 4.6 as well as three yesterday) are resultants from Super Typhoon Haiyan!!!

All the business of tornadoes aside for a moment, there might still be TWO Major Earthquakes that each could end up going as big as 9 Richters and both so far do not seem to have run their course. AS I AM WRITING THIS!!! Phone just rang with a 5.9 Richters out there at the Mariana Islands!!! This is now a LOT OF MAJOR EARTHQUAKES all coming across in just a few hours and also A LOT OF TECTONIC PLATE MOVEMENT!!! According to my calculations headed west, but would also seem to be at least somewhat of a threat to the Philippines themselves due to those islands being situated right there in the middle of all the action!!! COULD be a Huge Earthquake, too! Or two Major Earthquakes for that matter, since both the resultants from Phailin and Haiyan might still be out there and we obviously know they were both major landfalls. . . . . so we know they will both be Major Earthquakes!

Repeating some of the places to watch immediately: Portugal, Azores, Germany, France, and Italy, Greece, and maybe Moscow, etc.!!! Don't forget Sumatra, and Indonesia are in there, too!

I will also have both the updated Official Prediction for California in the coming hours, but be aware CALIFORNIA and West Coast are also situated very near Yap, Mariana Islands, and Philippines in Plate Tectonics!!! And now upwards of 70 tornadoes with 10, 19, and 30 mile paths on the ground WILL be more major earthquakes around the boundaries of the North American Tectonic Plate!!! EQ Guy

100 Yards Wide and 19 Miles On The Ground!!! HUGE Tornadoes!!! LOTS of New Earthquakes Coming!!!!! 7.6 to 9.1 Double Whammy Still Out There!!!

The main focus here, although the huge series of tornadoes all across Illinois and Indiana might seem to be, will be all the now huge NEW Major Earthquake Energy we can expect to be striking, and striking, and striking all up and down our West Coast and California as well as a lot of other places such as Mexico and Central America we might mostly wish to concern ourselves with the new potential dangers faced by huge major California cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco where ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!

Later but not right this moment I will fill you all in on the details of the correlation between another great tornado outbreak of June 1992 followed by the Great Earthquake Outbreak of June 1992 at Landers, California which from memory included Big Bear City, California, too! That Landers Earthquake was a 7.3 that struck on June 28, 1992. . . . . but all of those tornadoes did all the damage between June 14 and June 18, 1992 so for now you may simply go ahead and do the math and say tomorrow I will try to have all those details gathered for a complete write-up on how that will help us correlate such huge tornado outbreaks with Major Earthquakes! Finally, Landers was preceded by a 6.1 at Joshua Tree, and followed like 3 hours later by a 6.3 at Big Bear City and a 5.7 that struck at nearby Nevada is also in there, too! Up to this point I have equated all the tornadoes with all the earthquakes and assume that June 1992 Tornado Outbreak was made up of enough major touchdowns that equaled at least the 4 significant earthquakes.

So today I want to report that one branch of BMO Harris was destroyed in Kokomo as well as a Distribution Center for the Dollar General somewhere in Indiana, too! I did hear F-5 associated with one of the Illinois Tornadoes, but also heard 100 miles per hour straight line winds and many, many streets closed right in Kokomo and a tornado that was on the ground for 10 miles and one on the ground for 19 miles. Note that I was already scheduled to be working down there starting this Sunday, but am now thinking about leaving perhaps an extra day early to check on all my Hoosier Friends!!!

The possible "Double-Whammy" could still be out there but in all events there is still now huge amounts of earthquake energy coming and plus or minus the re-enactment of the 1992 Landers Earthquake which most of you don't need me to explain exactly how serious that could, or would, or might be if the correlation plays out anything like it is looking right now! It might be time for Los Angeles and San Francisco to Be Prepared! I might also need to send a new "Amended" Official Prediction: California to the EQ Prediction Council very soon, too!!! Kokomo and 80+ MORE Tornadoes!!! TONS of New Major Earthquakes On The WAY!!!!!!!!!

I was writing 50+ when I found the latest updated "Tweet" courtesy of the Chicago Tribune and discovered they are giving the number out as 80+ so that is the number I am going with here! Probably the biggest news aside from all the Illinois stuff and their deaths, is that Indiana got hit rather hard as well, with beautiful downtown Kokomo getting a lot of damage! Now probably most famous for the house that got blown into and is or was blocking the street there! PIC:

Very sorry that there are now 6 reported dead in that whole series of tornadoes including a number of them who are my neighbors in Illinois among the places that I routinely go throughout the days in my life! That Peroia region is one of my fav places to travel including the Para-Dice Casino and a lot of my friends from the East Peoria Carpenters Local as well as the folks at Caterpiller in Perori, too! God Bless All of Them!!!

As most of my regular readers already know a lot of major tornadoes, equal a lot of new earthquake and maybe it's just a coincidence but all this stuff did happen in the middle of the November Full Moon Window, too! Could the added pull on the earths surface of the Full Moon have any connection at all to the tornadoes that just so happened to occur right there along with the full moon? AND this will mean an immediate new EQ Alert for California, Oklahoma, Illinois, New Madrid, Oregon, Washington, and Mexico with updates to come!

So we now have to continue watching and I also have to report that there was a 5.5 Ascension Island Earthquake that followed this weekends 7.8 at Scotia Sea that was reported to be only one of three that have ever been known to strike that region including the other 250 miles or so away in 2003. Tells me we might be now looking at something unusual as far as where the GRAND FINALE might strike when the end of November and December nears! Keep Watching because that Major Earthquake Energy continues to show up different places around the globe including Italy, Cosovo, and Greece where they all just also had some shakers that just might end up being foreshocks for this huge catastrophe that could still be on the way for Germany, France, Portugal, Azores, Iceland, or points West!!!!! 7.8 Richters Strikes 1000 Miles South of Punta Arenas, Chile!!! WHAT Will Shake Next? Santiago? Indonesia? California? "Double Whammy" of 7.6 to 9.1 Richters Still Out There!!!

To quote the National Earthquake Information Center, "You Couldn't have picked a more remote area for this big earthquake." This Major Earthquake might well have also been that huge tsunami we've been watching for except that the reports seem to agree that it was instead the type of earthquake where two tectonic plates slide against each other. A tsunami is generated at tectonic plate boundaries where two tectonic plates do not slide against, but more or less crash into each other such as when they press enough to form mountains. Not what this big 7.8 did today.

So we are now looking again at a HUGE Major Earthquake that struck actually just an hour or two before the EXACT MOMENT of the Full Moon was 9:17am CST and that main shock of the 7.8 Richter Scotia Sea shaker was 3:05am CST or a grand total of 06:12 BEFORE the exact moment of the November 2013 Full Moon! One with potentially no name and even though it did strike just 6 hours before the exact moment. . . will probably never be remembered, unless any of you folks reading will remember it?

The Grand Finale of this November Full Moon Event MIGHT NOT BE OVER!!! We need to be really watching through Monday for a lot more Major Earthquake Energy to be released at different places such as possibly Santiago, Valpraiso, Chile, Indonesia, New Zealand, Philippines, and of course Sumatra and Indonesia. The 7.8 Movement of the "Scotia Tectonic Plate" DOES indicate there is a LOT of tectonic plate movement and with the Pacific Tectonic Plate situated right there across and to the west of the Southern Tip of South America. . . just about anything could happen in the coming hours! That could include California and our West Coast due to being situated along the edge of the Pacific Tectonic Plate. Meanwhile the Major Alert for that "Double-Whammy" of 7.6 to 9.1 Richters WILL CONTINUE!!! There is more Major Earthquake Energy OUT THERE!!!

All of this Major Earthquake stuff will not end with the November Full Moon Window, either. Rather such movements we are watching occur will continue as long as that Big EQ Alert and Official Prediction run, only the focus of the Full Moon days and dates will end, the alerts continue through November. 5.5 at Yotsukaido, Japan!!! Felt in Tokyo!!! WATCH For More Nov. 2013 Full Moon SHAKERS!!!!!

Phone was ringing, and ringing the whole night with earthquakes, earthquakes, earthquakes including a 5.4 at Sumatra, Indonesia reported 370 miles WSW of Banda Aceh who had also appeared in like yesterdays EQ Blog for another one, a huge series of aftershocks of last nights Scotia Sea Shaker in the 5 Richters range, and the 5.5 striking 29 miles east of Tokyo with now 17 felt reports from Tokyo although that number seems to be going UP every time I click to refresh it!

The November 2013 Full Moon Window actually started a couple hours ago and will now run all the way through Monday, but I notice that, like I usually like to say, we should not wait for the exact moment of the Full Moon Window to begin rather start watching in the moments and hours PRIOR to the start which last night proved correct!!! There were so many last night and early this morning already that I was awakened and checked my phone many, many times. . . and of course it was in the hours BEFORE the window started, too!

MORE California "Quarry Blasts," a 7.4 at Scotia Sea with Several Washington Shakers Following, and FULL MOON Window Starting!!!

Thought this first story again to be somewhat unusual in so far as quarry blasts themselves are not at all unusual and it's also not unusual for them to show up on the list of recent earthqaukes, especially the California list. However, most of you might agree that now two days in a row of THREE such small earthquakes showing up is starting to be more than just a coincidence. The three today are 9 miles NNW of Escondido, 18 miles ESE of California City, and 6 miles NNW of Big Bear City. That's three yesterday and three today? Worst case scenerio it is some sort of movement out there, but still even so. . . the big one can still shake as a result just about anywhere up and down that tectonic plate boundary all the way down past Mexico and into Central America or I suppose even further south.

It was not too long ago they smelled sulfer in and around all of Los Angeles and only hours later a huge volcano erupted. . . . . in Guatemala!!! Soooooo, do we start watching Central America for some of this potentially now upcoming DOUBLE-WHAMMY of 7.6 to 9.1 Richters? AND there was just that 7.4 Richters shaker at Scotia Sea just moments before I wrote this EQ Blog.

November Full Moon Window officially begins at 9:15am Saturday Morning my time, or 7:15am California and Pacific Standard Time with the exact moment of the November Full Moon at that time on Sunday Morning and the complete window running through Monday! It is sure going to be a long weekend with all of that HUGE Possible Major Earthquake Energy out there somewhere and now the added pull of the November Full Moon!!!

3 California "Quarry Blasts"? 2 Small Shakers Strike Downtown San Fernando!! Double-Whammy Coming? At 7.6 to 9.1 Richters?

There were a whole gigantic list of earthquakes that happened today that sort of look like something might be going on. . . or perhaps about to happen, as I should like to say! Topping my list of the most curious is the instance of 3 small shakers in California listed as "Quarry Blasts" which I'm thinking might be otherwise routine things happening in those regions: El Cajon, Tehachapi, and Corona. . . except that in and of itself a quarry blast listing is sort of unusual, and so THREE all listed at once on the same day might be considered VERY unusual. Therefore it got me thinking if there isn't an unusual amount of pressure on the tectonic plate boundary out along that region so that an otherwise simple "Quarry Blast" might trigger the release of enough earthquake energy to show up on the seismographs in that region?

4.6 Richters struck 71 miles WSW of Banda Aceh, Indonesia and I am very, very sorry to now say I do not even know what to say about this possible very bad situation!!! All my regular readers and good friends will surely understand it when I send out a big Thank-You!!! To all the wonderful folks that live right IN the Banda Aceh Region who are all reading this EQ Blog right this moment!!! TWO rather small ones shook the folks in beautiful downtown San Fernando today, too! a 1.9 at Tecate and a 3.1 at Mignanego, Italy making me wonder if Italy might be a part of this huge potential cataclysm of the earth that could be about to happen!? Italy could also still become a part of that other alert that has not exactly shown up. . . or run its course, either, so Italy like several other places could be looking at the famous "Double Whammy"!!!

3.4 and 3 Others Strike Near San Francisco!!!!! 4's Strike Farther Norht!!! WILL They Get This 9.1 Richters Shaker???

All was going well today! My application to be listed among the Technorati Greatest Blogs in the world went through,and I began waiting and just kind of wondering if and when I might hear back from them and what their answer might be? Checked my E-Mail a few extra times, THEN, the very next thing I know San Francisco is getting hit by a big giant Swarm of like 4 in a row in the 3 Range, with 3.4 Richters the biggest!!! Felt Reports are too numerous to post here right now, maybe later. Finally, I did hear back that they received my completed application for a listing on Technorati and I immediately texted Scobie to Thank him!!!

This Next Upcoming Major Earthquake of up to 9.1 Richters just could be a direct hit at San Francisco! It was actually quite a similar Tropical Cyclone that made landfall near Cairns Australia on March 4, 1906 that reportedly wrecked the town of Croydon, with a major eruption of Mt. Vesuvius on April 4, 1906. . . and the Great San Francisco Earthquake on April 18, 1906!!! Go Figure it would strike San Francisco on Day 45 after that huge Tropical Cyclone!!! Fairly close to the exact number of days a lot of these biggest Major Earthquakes have struck on!

The latest on the San Francisco Shakers is that it is presently just a series of small earthquakes, not yet officially a swarm per se. . . but we are not really watching for a swarm, rather, we are watching for the Next Big California Earthquake!!! So, things might be looking up for folks who have been following me for quite a long time now, and I know a few of you have!!! In fact I have now had quite a lot of people call, text, and E-Mail me asking when and where the Major Earthquake will be striking that THEY are expecting will follow that huge landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan at the Philippines!!!

There have been a number of medium sized earthquakes worth mentioning in recent hours! Probably the biggest and by far most important would be the 4.9 that struck about 50 Miles South of Cebu City, Philippines with 4 Felt Reports from that Major City that is currently also among the largest affected by the landfall of that Big Super Typhoon!!! Of course there was the 6.6 up in the remote islands of Russia and 1700 Miles NNE of Tokyo, but apparently did not affect anybody.

Finally while we wait and watch for something mostly that will affect us personally, (in the U.S.) there is quite a lot going on in Oklahoma including now many earthquakes in the 2 and 3 range and I will try to have an update but right now MUST say there is a lot of Major Earthquake Energy going on and Oklahoma could end up getting a Major Strike of some sort before this is all over, just sayin.' ALSO, you will recall New Delhi being in the immediate cross hairs of that landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone Phailin back on October, 12, 2013 and a town called Delhi was just hit yesterday by a series of earthquakes as well. New Official Prediction: California 7.9 to 9.1 JUST FILED!!! Also BIG EQ ALERT: Bangkok, Bangladesh, Indonesia!!!

The damage reports that are coming in from the Philippines are far beyond what I had expected having checked out those regions on Google Earth prior to the windstorm making landfall there. Some of the regions are like a hundred miles or more apart and all reporting major damage and so it looks like the path of this Huge Super Typhoon might actually be like 200 or 300 Miles across and drag all the way across several different islands of the Philippines for almost a thousand miles!!! Now having also just made landfall at Vietnam where 500,000 people were evacuated and there will also be a lot of damage there, too! While that will also produce more potential earthquake energy, the windspeeds were not quite over 100 and so the earthquake resultants should not reach 6 Richters, more likely one or two good 5.5's up in the Siberia Region.

Relief Arriving in Philippines!!! MAJOR Earthquake Will Now Be Out There, Somewhere!!! Sorry To Say!

The latest on the Super Typhoon is that they are projecting the deaths to be in the 10,000 range and I finally found the size of the storm surge and it was reported as 40 feet, or to the tops of the coconut trees! Very sorry right now for all those affected by this huge windstorm that has done major damage to that Philippino Region, but even more sorry to have to say that we also now have to watch for where the next Major Earthquake might strike because of the small correlation of Major Earthquakes following the landfall of huge windstorms and it is most unfortunate that the size of Yolanda (Local name for this Super Typhoon) and the devestating amount of damages it has done will most certainly be moving the tectonic plates and first in line will be Bangkok with Micronesia having already got a 5 Richters Shaker! So there could be even more such action out in those islands such as Kiribati and Tuvalu, but Andaman and Nicobar Islands are along that line, too. And as of this writing I did not calculate the exact epicenter of the potential Bangkok or Thailand Earthquake due to it possibly being up in the mountains along the Himilayan Arc. I'll try to have that tomorrow and hope that won't be to late to announce it.

Finally, I'm sorry to choose Cebu City for this last story, but my regular readers already know there was an earthquake there a few weeks ago and that they might possibly expect more to shake there at some point in the future and just sayin' that with all this going on it is always most unfortunate that the timing of an earthquake does just always seem to just come along like in the middle of all that is already going on in that region! 5.2 at Micronesia Just Offshore from Philippines Landfall of Super Typhoon!!! East Bay Frisco, 3.0!!! WATCH For Lots More!!!

Of course as I was writing all out my initial list of places that looked like they might be in some immediate danger from possible Major Earthquake Energy as the result of the landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan, while I did at least remember to mention the Philippines themselves, I saw but did not write down Micronesia and today that was where the 5.2 Richters Earthquake struck. Checking on the location due to it being just offshore from the exact spot of landfall of Typhoon Haiyan, I noticed the Micronesia area might have also been an earlier landfall of this huge Super Typhoon and found out I was right. Although thankfully there were no deaths and I was not able to catch what the windspeeds were on the day it crossed over that region, it did do a lot of damage there just the same!

However the reason I am including it in todays EQ Blog is due to the line of brand new potential Major Earthquake Energy passing directly through it and as I said back in 2011 prior to the now great Christchurch Earthquake. . . . . the Major Earthquake Energy is going the other direction!!! So we should first watch for MORE than a 5.2 out at Micronesia and that region and still around the immediate area of The Philippines and those very shaky Chocolate Mountains where they had a 7.2 at Bohol Island near Cebu City, Philippines in October and you can still see that story @ http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/philippines-7-2-magnitude-earthquake-kills-4-article-1.1485739 JUST SAYIN' that there is the possibility that like Christchurch, NZ. . . another HUGE Earthquake could strike Philippines or Cebu City in the coming hours and like Christchurch it could be more serious than the first one was. Also, this one has the added potential of going as high as say 8 Richters! I actually have 8.3 as the high number but hopefully that number won't apply to this region?

Don't forget the actual line itself will STILL continue on over towards Bangkok, Thailand and that general vicinity, although I searched and did not find any earthquakes that had struck Bangkok directly recently only ones nearby that shook Bangkok, so we might watch for something like that, too! The huge shaker that followed in front of that tectonic plate movement AFTER Christchurch 2011. . . . . was the 2011 JAPAN Earthquake!!!

Northern California had a 4.7 this morning, too, that was quite a wake up call considering we are watching for a 7.6 to 8.3 Richters sized Earthquake to strike!!! And around the Pacific Tectonic Plate is very much a player in all of this, too, as well as Germany, France, and perhaps Portugal or Azores??? Be Watching and Be Prepared for this one!!! EQ Guy

195 Mph Super Typhoon Haiyan Makes Landfall at Philippines!!! HUGE Major Earthquake WILL Follow!!!

It probably won't be as fast as the last one that made landfall in this same general region where they almost immediately had like a 7.7 that struck out in the middle of Pakistan with that new island that formed, but we are definitely looking at equally as big of earthquake resultant from todays landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan at the Philippines with windspeeds at 195 and gusts recorded as high as 235 miles per hour!!! For now the globe reading from this biggest windstorm in history look like it could be a straight line directly to Bangkok!!! The shaky Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar region is situated just onshore from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands where they have just escaped an earlier similar sort of fate from the storm after storms this region has been getting pounded with over the recent weeks and months. Could be time for one to strike there instead of missing that region like they have been doing recently.

One thing that seems highly probable as of this writing and that is this Super Typhoon was so big, we will easily be looking at the next 7.7 plus for that region and there could still be up to 8.3 coming from Phailin's landfall at India on October 12, although all of that is probably up in Europe somewhere by now. It isn't often we are watching for TWO Major Earthquakes that could BOTH strike up in the 8 Richters Range. . . but we must NOW Watch for just that!!!

For our immediate future let us watch the area around Bangkok, Thailand, Andaman/Nicobar, and perhaps the Philippines themselves for the next Major Earthquake and know the Pacific Tectonic Plate could begin some furious shaking itself in coming hours and days, too, and anything could happen there! 4.0 Off The Coast of Oregon! HUGE Super Typhoon Threatening Philippines!!!

Might not seem like much, but I will take a look at it just the same and see if there is anything else happening up in that region where I suppose you could say I have been talking about anyways. While a 4.0 isn't really that big of an earthquake. . . it just so happens that it occurred just hours after I mentioned in yesterdays EQ Blog that I would be writing and soon submitting a new update for that last Official Prediction that covered Montana, Wyoming, and Illinois. But thinking about it 325 miles west of Salem, Oregon is not exactly Montana, either.

So, let us continue to watch that region for what's going to happen next as well as over in the Himilayan Arc where it is still possible there is 7.6 to 8.3 Richters of Major Earthquake energy and I just happened to spot the new crescent moon in the sky tonight going on FULL! I will have updates of course on that situation but until then remember it is in the Day 30 Range, I don't recall exactly which one it will be as you are reading this, but they are all pretty much days when something major could shake! So keep a watch on Portugal, France, and that general region you know!

Official Prediction Update Coming!!! Here's The Latest Chicago Earthquake Info!!!

Updating now on all the earthquake stuff currently going on around the world and starting with the huge 7.6 to 8.3 Richters of Major Earthquake Energy from that huge landfall of Typhoon Phailin at India. November 2 was Day 21 and November 12, 2013 will be Day 31 after that landfall and it is starting to be about enough days there to be more concerned something major could shake Europe, France, or Portugal, etc. November 5 will be Day 21 after the landfall at Japan of Typhoon Wipha and Day 22, will be Nov. 6, Day 23 will be Nov. 7, 2013 and these are three very important day numbers for earthquake energy traveling that route towards Montana, and Wyoming as well as the very shaky Illinois!!! Going to put the blame for that 3.7 at LaGrange/McCook, Illinois on the landfall of Man-Yi which would have been around Day 43 or very near the same number of days following the landfall of Hurricane Katrina the Islamabad Earthquake struck.

Chicago Earthquake Was Originally a 3.7 Downgraded. COULD be a LOT More Coming!

Finally solved the issue with the cement-mixer driving past the house and the ground shaking violently. . . unlike the usual ground might vibrate for a big truck. In one of those scenes where you think about this during the very late hours of the night I came up with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4!!! That's IT!!! The "Mental Note" that I was talking about in my earlier EQ Blog from early today. The time! It was 1, 2, 3, 4 a/k/a 12:34pm!!! I remember it now because I routinely look at the exact time when I feel the ground really shake a lot and yesterday the clock said 1234 and at that instant changed to 12:35 but I knew what I saw and just didn't write it down so the result was I thought it was forgotten forever, until I remembered it! Checked exact moment of earthquake this morning and it is 12:35. Haven't decided yet if I should write out a report on the USGS Website, but I suppose I should take my own advice and write it! Like I tell other people you know.

3.2 Richters Strikes Near Chicago, Illinois!!! WHO Will Be Shaking NEXT??? Chicago? Montana? California???

Closed a bank early, ceiling tiles fell in a hot dog stand, vase shattered, drawers opened, glass shattered, damage to hardwood floors, items fell off walls and racks and at least one pipe burst and water came shooting out like a fountain!!! THAT is today's "Major" Earthquake that struck McCook, Illinois just a few miles west of beautiful downtown Chicago and very near Downtown LaGrange! Of course so near me I want to file my own personal "Felt Report" on this one but unfortunately did not write down the time it struck while I was making my cup-a-soup and a cement mixer just so happened to also be driving past. However I did definitely know the ground shaking violently was NOT due to the cement mixer out front. . . instead I just watched the USGS for something to show up until it came time for me to drive down there to my bank at which time nobody mentioned it there. I also notice the town where I got gas on my way home tonight had at least one felt report from Lake In The Hills!!!

If one of the comments in one of the stories is true (You'll have to do a search under Chicago Earthquake to get the story) then this could be the New Madrid Fault coming to life, although a succeeding comment seems to disagree with that statement, do note that I did extend the alert for New Madrid Here: http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2013/09/official-prediction-for-major.html NOW through November due to the landfall of Typhoon Wipha following basically the same track as whatever one was until Oct. 22. Could easily be a piece of that earthquake energy passing through Illinois in which case we should continue to watch MORE because I suppose Chicago could be about due or overdue for a big 6 or 7 Richters Major Earthquake!!!

Also be watching around the Pacific Tectonic Plate for more signs that the 7.6 to 8.3 is still out there and these two events we are watching are not connected. And they are debating if todays Chicago earthquake is or was connected to a quarry explosion that apparently happened just a second or two before the earthquake. 4.5 Offshore Eureka, California!!! Oringinally Posted at 5.0 Richters! Could Always Be MORE Coming!!!

It appears this medium sized earthquake that must have struck right around midnight Central Time was originally posted as a 5.0 Richters and downgraded at some point to a 4.5 as it now appears on the list of recent earthquakes. There were two other small earthquakes at 2.0 and 2.5 in the hour that followed at Hollister and Coalinga, California.

No matter if it was a 4.5 or a 5.0 that struck up there at that location around the Triple Plate Junction, it was a big enough earthquake that I want to surely continue watching for MORE earthquakes to strike especially due to that one striking exactly inside of my "New Moon Window" nevermind the fact that I haven't actually been following the possible correlation with the New Moon too long yet at this point. Like I say it DOES seem like there is a connection with the New Moon and I have now been following the Full Moon's correlation for some time. There could still be an even bigger earthquake yet to follow before Monday is over and we could see more earthquake energy out there at the TPJ yet today, too!

While the hours of the November 2013 New Moon will continue through Monday, I have to also say there may be all of 7.6 to 8.3 Richters out there and this 5 Richters at Eureka certainly DID come from somewhere, didn't it! There could be MORE where that came from, too! And I just heard mention that Hurricane Sonia could be the next to strike the West Coast at the Baja California Penninsula very soon!!! Be Watching because a lot could happen, yet!!! EQ Guy

New Moon Alert!!! 3 Shakers at Okinawa, Japan!!! MORE Coming? And Heeeeere's Umphrey's McGee!!!

As we continue to be watching for that 7.6 to 8.3 Richters that is looking like it is probably still out there waiting to strike somewhere, there have now been at least 3 Medium Sized Earthquakes at Okinawa, Japan. Those there are a 5.4, 4.5 and a 4.7 all just a few hours ago at 06:16, 06:29, and 06:54 in that order, and I guess that's Central Time, too, whether it matters that I had to change my clocks this morning back one hour for Central STANDARD Time now that Daylight Savings Time ended early this morning at some point, too!

Exact Moment of the November 2013 New Moon was early today at 7:50am my time, 5:50am Pacific and please do not even ask me if thats Standard or Daylight Time. . . yet, it's somewhere in that area that I will have to figure all out in the coming days. You see I will need to now switch from subtracting 5 hours from Universal Time or UTC to methinks now subtracting 6 hours? And the important part right now is that the New Moon is out there right this moment along with an enormous amount of potential earthquake energy that seems to continue very much making its mark out there around the Pacific!!!

So continue to watch, and keep an eye on that West Coast and California mostly just due to the fact that all this is going on and West Coast and California could very much stand at least a small chance of getting some shaking!

5.8 Easter Island!!! Pacific Tectonic Plate Continues To Move!!! Who's Next?

Just in this 5.8 now striking 300 miles Northwest of Easter Island is sure a glimpse of what all is going on out there in the middle of that very shaky Pacific Tectonic Plate and as most of you who've been following all of this probably know it means that earthquake energy could be heading for our West Coast. . . among other places as we've surely been seeing all this week!

Could be some of that 7.6 to 8.3 Richters still out there and 5.8 is a BIG sign that there is a LOT of movement out there! Let us continue to be watching to see what is next after all of the others including the 6.2 at Constitucion, Chile, and the 6.3 at Taiwan and finally yesterdays 6.6 at Coquimbo, Chile! Please note that these are NOT your "Garden Variety" of Pacific Earthquakes!!! Rather, we must be watching very closely because there is still a HUGE Major Earthquake out there haunting the Pacific Tectonic Plate and has been rocking consistantly between west and east. . . with the latest just now in between and possibly headed back for the West edge of the Pacific or Indonisea? 6.6 Richters Strikes Chile!!! WATCH For More!!! Especially California and West Coast!!! 7.6 to 8.3!!!

If you're following my EQ Blog closely than you already know we were watching for this one or something like this to strike at any moment!!! I see my last two EQ Blog headlines were that 6.2 at Constitucion, Chile and then the 6.3 at Taiwan and I seem to recall saying to watch out because the next one should probably be over here on our side of the Pacific Tectonic Plate and then my phone chimed at just after 6pm tonight my time with the 6.6 South of Coquimbo, Chile that as of this writing has no damage reports. However if you recall the story I ran the link to yesterday, then you already know this region is very shaky. I also checked the Google Map that accompanies the USGS Report for this earthquake and found a whole entire hillside filled with houses all the way to the top just a few miles from where the epicenter is marked on that map. I hope there were no injuries in that neighborhood nestled along the pacific coast there with a great beach and lots of sailboats, etc., but am sorry to say they were awfully close to that epicenter and am not sure how bad a 6.6 might turn out to be there.

In my search I also found the 2010 Chile Earthquake that struck on Feburary 27, 2010 and recalled having been writing about that one in the days and hours before it shook! Here is an Official Prediction filed just days before it struck although written for California mostly due to being filed with California and knowing there was at least some danger to them. . . obviously! http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2010/02/brand-new-official-prediction-for-major.html It was also just hours before the exact moment of the February 2010 Full Moon and a reminder that the November 2013 New Moon is November 3 at 12:50UTC or about 7:50am Central/5:50am Pacific.

The February 2010 Full Moon exact moment was February 28, 2010 at 16:39UTC or 10:39am Central. . . however the February 2010 Full Moon WINDOW would have begun on February 27 at 10:39am Central/8:39 Pacific and the exact moment of that big Chile Earthquake of 8.8 Richters was on February 27 at 6:34UTC and 3:34 Local time in Chile.

So our own New Moon Window will be starting early Saturday Morning at around 7:50am Central and 5:50am Pacific BE WATCHING!!! EQ Guy
