2.7 Strikes Very Near Oakland! COULD Get Frisco Shaking!!!

I believe in yesterdays EQ Blog I figured out that the exact correlation between the landfall of Hurricane Sandy and that 6.3 Richters Offshore San Diego would occur at about 5pm Sunday Night so for what it's worth let's watch all day Sunday for the resultant from the landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan at 7.6 to 9.1 Richters.

Here is the felt report from Saturdays 2.7 felt mostly in Oakland, California and a few other places as you can see here:

I have also wondered what effect the Winter Solstice or in the case of yesterday the First Day of Winter might have on plate tectonics, but so far as I have figured out up to this point. . . it is mostly just that day when you can balance an egg on end! So the effects bearing on the egg that make it balanceable on that particular day could have some effect on fault lines, I suppose at best it seems believable that it could! Yes, it DOES have enough effect on the balance of the egg that it could also affect the balance of SOME shaky plate boundary or fault line somewhere, someday, but it does not seem to have happened on this one yesterday.

So watch just a few more days for the correlation with Super Typhoon Haiyan to pass once and for all, or shake Japan real good in the coming days! Also keep watching Malibu and California although there was now that 5.2 at Ensenada and so hope that was it and watch a few more days just the same! EQ Guy
