Just heard on the TV that Nashville, Tennessee had a record high of 78 degrees today and so the biggest story I want to write about today is the fact that yesterday I mentioned the fact that snow was melting and that was before today had 78 degrees in Nashville!
Therefore today it might just be time for me to start talking about reducing the chances for a major earthquake but possibly most importantly reducing the maximum of Richters that we had been watching for especially in places where the biggest of major earthquakes had been a possibility!
By no means an all clear as of yet, but let's take a look at the range we might still expect. I had been watching for 7.6 to something as big as 9, but for today let us first reduce the 7.6 to a 5.9 and the maximum from 9 to instead something such as a 7.9 or a new sum total range of 5.9 to 7.9 Richters.
As of this writing it is tough to tell what direction those numbers will go because we could get A LOT of new snow yet, but we could get more of those 78 degree temperatures and lose some or all of our remaining snow. A saying I once liked using was that snow melting and running down the river does not equal nearly as much potential earthquake energy as those huge piles of snow that we had been looking at everywhere.
Finally day of days for all of us the best of the earthquake/volcano folks. . . . . movie "Pompeii In 3-D" Starts!!!!! Can't Wait!!! That's going to be a popcorn muncher as you can imagine!!!!!
Thank-You Again for Reading!!! EQ Guy
