You might be aware that we are always watching for those first small shakers out on the East Coast that tell us something might be about to shake out west. Well, this one caught me off guard late on Saturday when I first saw 1.8 it wasn't too alarming. . . but when I next spotted New York on the USGS report I was ALARMED!!! Here it is: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ld60059656#summary
That's when I thought maybe there just might be still more of those little earthquake things shaking and possibly even directly under the SuperBowl that will be taking place out there later today! Shouldn't be too bad of an earthquake. . . it's just that there is always that one chance that something as big as a 5 or even bigger will shake out there! Even if it does I wouldn't expect that exact area where everyone is gathering for the game to be the epicenter, is it Meadowlands? Possibly somewhere near like within say 25 miles and possibly even enough to give the game a good shaking, but certainly not enough to stop the game.
So, Superbowl Earthquake 2014. . . . . Go Seattle!!! Just thinking that because Seattle is much more of an earthquake place than Denver, although I do not really have a favorite team. Kind of neat seeing Payton Manning getting that new team a going finally good enough to get there in the first place and that's the extent of what I know about it. Quarterback for Seattle was supposed to have originally been from somewhere, but I forgot where!?
AND we will continue watching for a Major Earthquake as a result of that huge swarm up around Reno that is now looking like it might have run its course. That is unless Reno next becomes the epicenter of a 6 or 7 Richters Earthquake in the coming hours and days! Be Prepared Reno, San Francisco and Eureka because there could be one big earthquake heading up into that region!!! A copy of that Official Prediciton with all the details will follow! Thank-You For Reading! EQ Guy
