I am looking at this right now as I write and seeing the very latest shakers as they happen with 3.3 Borrego Springs only minutes ago as well as San Bernardino, Anza, Aguanga, and Yucca Valley!!!!! On the surface this looks like a very serious swarm happening right there on that exact stretch of the SAN ANDREAS FAULT where they have long been saying they are overdue for the next major earthquake to strike! Especially Watch and Be Prepared in that region!!! There is at least one big source of earthquake energy around the Pacific and while I do not believe Los Angeles will be the ultimate target for it. . . we do want to note that a major earthquake COULD still strike L.A. just about anytime!
You might have read my early Tuesday EQ Blog where I tracked the earthquake energy from Kong-Rey directly to Victoria, British Columbia. . . and today they got among many, a 6.0 Richters Earthquake up there exactly where I discussed in my early today EQ Blog or Vancouver Island, Queen Charlotte Island and Victoria, British Columbia. There was also a 6.5 Izo Islands, Japan and more Aleutian Islands and Atka, Alaska earthquakes so it is possible there could in the coming hours be an upcoming MAJOR EARTHQUAKE in one of these regions although most of you probably do not even need me to tell you that. . . just seeing everything that is shaking! By Earthquake Preparations, I mean a minimum of one or two of the things that might be on such a complete list such as some extra bottled water and then when the alert subsides you may go ahead and drink from this supply and then refresh it at the next time something starts shaking. There are also some basic food supplies, but whatever ones you prefer would be satisfactory. Finally whatever tools you have, maybe a hammer, pry bar, screwdriver or whatever, should be at least located as well as any extra blankets. My Earthquake Preparation expert friend says you should locate this stuff somewhere you will be able to access it such as near an exit, window, garage and has a complete container with lots of stuff packed. This type of preparation is the basis for ultimately knowing what all you might need in a major earthquake. Thank-You for reading! EQ Guy
