One possible exception is the fact that I do not believe Bill has or will ever be upgraded to an actual Hurricane and if memory serves me correctly Jerry WAS a Hurricane back in late 1989. Just about to make landfall as I was taking some notes to write todays EQ Blog I couldn't help notice how big and fierce Bill was starting to look and otherwise up to this point was honestly considering not even mentioning it! However Tropical Storm Bill is now so big it may now become a serious issue with regards to the fact that there is already a lot of earthquake energy heading for California, and now this!
While Hurricane Carlos rolls, and rolls, and rolls and keeps right on rolling along the coast of Southern Mexico and could itself even begin generating earthquake energy as it continues to pass, and pass, and pass that shoreline there with those winds at 75 with higher gusts. All this on top of that landfall on June 6 and 7, 2015 of Hurricane Blanca at Baja California Sur.
Most unfortunate today to print this reminder that pretty much ALL of this brand new Major Earthquake Energy looks like it is heading for our own Southern California USA Region!!! With all due respect for what's also headed for Peru, Columbia, Seattle, and possibly Kathmandu all of this looking like it will continue to come in at around 6.6 to 7.3 Richters but all these new landfalls will surely change the magnitudes as well as lean just a little bit more towards San Francisco, while I've been watching closely at L.A.!!! Seattle and Alaska could become more serious alerts in the not so distant future, too! EQ Guy
