4.2 and 3.6 Strike At Weldon, California!!! 2.9 Strikes North Carolina!!! WATCH For More!!!

The big one at California was originally a 4.7 Richters but my phone rang twice and the second one was and still is a 3.6 Richters. There could well be some of that earthquake energy from the landfall or near landfall of Tropical Storm IVO at or near Enseneda, Mexico earlier today although they had downgraded it just prior to it approaching landfall there at the Baja California Peninsula. It is possible that it lost a lot of that energy due to the outer bands nearing the shallow waters of the shoreline as well as the contact the outer bands initially made with land. . . however this just so happens to be the contact with land that I always watch for due to it generating earthquake energy. So it is possible that Tropical Storm IVO actually did generate a certain amount of earthquake energy and could have been a player in all of the earthquakes up around California City that you can view posted at my Earthquake Central Blog @ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2013/08/felt-reports-todays-northern-california.html THERE you can also see all the Felt Reports from the main shock originally a 4.7 and note that if Weldon WAS that earthquake energy. . . then we should especially watch north of there for more YET, due to it still being way early in the earthquake energy timeline for that one!

There have been a lot of other earthquakes and today is Day 15 after the landfall of Super Typhoon UTOR at the Philippines and so we will definately be watching for something HUGE to shake. Right now around the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate, but remember that Philippines could have caught a piece of the Pacific Tectonic Plate in there somewhere, too, and our West Coast and Central America could be a player in a huge "Resultant."

A 2.9 at North Carolina adds to the New York Earthquake from early today and might be telling us the East Coast could shake MORE YET! Let's see. . . unless you are reading this along the East Coast, then perhaps Be Prepared East Coast!!! Thank-You For Reading!!! EQ Guy
