5.5 Strikes 113 Miles Southwest of Anchorage! EXTEND Official Prediction for Anchorage Through June 1, 2014

May 10, 2014

Fm: The EQ Alert Guy, Name Edited:)

As you know today is May 10, 2014 and it is the final day of the recent "Official Prediction for Anchorage and Alaska" that you can see @

There have now been many earthquakes striking the Anchorage Area and now hundreds of felt reports specifically from Anchorage with many from everywhere else in that region. Just this morning there was yet another 5.5 that struck 113 Miles Southwest of Anchorage and as a result it occurred to me I should probably write you with this by letter extension.

The possibility will continue for Anchorage and Alaska to still get a Major Earthquake and possibly even one as big as I stated in the original O.P., or 6.6 to 8.9 Richters. Yes, this series did originally travel up along the tectonic plate boundary between the Pacific and North American Tectonic Plate and along the way I did mention Chile, and Vancouver Island where they did get those big earthquakes resulting in the need for Official Prediction Anchorage. However, those places are all situated along the edge of this boundary and Anchorage and Alaska seem to be more situated at the top, therefore it is my opinion we might still be looking at the same amount of Major Earthquake Energy, but could need to extend the amount of time we should wait due to the possibility this will be more of a thrust earthquake while the others might have been more slip faults. This could require a few additional days before our Major Earthquake strikes, so we should basically move that end date out to what the final days of the two major alerts affecting the Pacific are or June 1, 2014.

I am actually more confident that the sum total of all the earthquakes that have already struck near Anchorage hopefully equal the sum of all the earthquake energy that WAS headed for Alaska and that the total amount of earthquake energy that was traveling along the plate boundary towards Alaska managed to diminish along the way resulting in the several 5.5's that have now struck. . . . . and that there will not be a Major Earthquake there. Additionally, I hope that 5.5 Richters is a smaller magnitude of earthquake due to this movement of the Pacific meeting thrust faults at Alaska versus the slip faulting it struck prior to Alaska in which case we will continue to watch as this alert for Major Earthquake Energy at Anchorage and Alaska might have already passed.

Thank-You Again for accepting this Extension of Official Prediction Anchorage, and Alaska!!!

Sincerely, The EQ Alert Guy
