2.0 Virginia City, Nevada Seems Like A Fairly big Earthquake (For That Area)

They have been getting a number of earthquakes up in that Reno, Nevada Region over about the last year or so and when I noticed a small swarm of them yesterday I sort of looked and watched to try and figure out if there was something going on there worth checking in to. Among the things I found was the fact that one of them among this swarm struck right exactly at the shoreline of Lake Tahoe, which upon just now checking to see how close it was to Stateline, I noticed it was actually on Pyramid Lake more to the north of Reno/Sparks but I'll tell my story anyways. . . Lake Tahoe is a beautiful little region and the Stateline between California and Nevada runs straight directly through the middle of that lake and takes that turn to the east that you see prominently on the map right in the middle of the lake there and the line continues on and intersects that town of Stateline, Nevada where it is one of those very famous places you can go to and cross the line from California into Nevada if for nothing else just long enough to hit the Casinos there! According to Wikipedia that Main Street there is all one town with the City of South Lake Tahoe, California and Stateline, Nevada so the actual stateline must run directly through the middle of town somewhere there and it also says Stateline, Nevada has 5 Casinos including Harrahs, Lake Tahoe and Harveys Lake Tahoe both of which must be located in Stateline, Nevada and just use the namesakes. Correction, the actual stateline does not run THROUGH Stateline, Nevada. . . it runs IN BETWEEN Stateline, Nevada and City of South Lake Tahoe, California. I'll end this discussion by recommending a visit to that region where I also enjoyed the luxury of a swim in the crystal clear water of the Lake Tahoe itself with the magnificent view of the Sierras running all across the background of the lake, there!

Not sure if all the shaking up that way will lead to anything major in the near future, but do want to say that eventually at some point especially on the occasion we may be on the lookout for something major or with one of those daunting straight lines intersecting this region. . . THEN we may wish to be vigil, but right at the moment hopefully it will remain for today just the continuing series of small shakers that it is. AND there are still a few smaller EQ Alerts that remain active for quite some time yet and I will update all that tomorrow. As well as one bigger one that probably will not affect us directly, unless you're reading this in New Zealand then continue to watch for at least a few more days for 7 Richters.

And check out how Day-2 of my new job is going:
I'm getting more comfortable in front of the microphone there and hope to someday have my own radio show!!! Please feel free to contact me immediately with job offers!!! Thank-You for Reading!!! EQ Guy
