The severe winter conditions of January 1994 were very similar to those we are presently experiencing as of this date, The 20th Anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake, or January 17, 2014. Practically the whole entire country was covered in almost the same exact coat of heavy snow then, as we are now in 2014 and that was when a guy who goes by the name The EQ Alert Guy discovered that it was those same exact conditions that probably played a role in the plate tectonics that ultimately caused the Northridge Earthquake now 20 years ago.
His research that began on that day back in 1994 lead to many other major earthquakes that also occurred in the months with the most severe winter conditions including the Great New Madrid Earthquakes, Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964, and several of the historic Parkfield, California Earthquakes.
In December of 2003 when it became another particularly tough winter, EQ Guy sent out his first E-Mail regarding the fact that those winter conditions might precede the next California Earthquake and on December 22, 2003 the Paso Robles Earthquake struck. When still more severe winter conditions struck in December 2009 he actually wrote and submitted an Official Prediction to the California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council for California to get a major earthquake before January 12, 2010 and the Eureka 2010 Earthquake struck on January 9, 2010 at 6.5 Richters with the Haiti Earthquake striking around 4pm on the final day of that Official Prediction.
Of course he has also discovered many other things that he believes all contribute to plate tectonics and all of the earthquakes around the world, but the correlation with those severe winter conditions of January 1994 was where it all began and it has now been 20 years with the EQ Guy still continuing on with all of that research right up to the Anniversary of Northridge and beyond!
EQ Guy works in the Film Production business currently around Chicago and can be seen in many different TV shows and movies as a Background Actor.
