I suppose the fact that there was a 6.1 Richters Earthquake that struck one of the islands of Greece would probably be enough news for one EQ Blog, but I just thought I should stick that 3.3 in there like the headline wasn't long enough and needed that! Actually the fact is this particular 3.3 was one of the very first in the recent Puerto Rico series to strike on land, where pretty much all the rest of them up to now have been as far as close to a hundred miles offshore. However I was not able to locate any news of that one just the same nor any felt reports at all which seemed unusual since there is a tourist town of nearly 100,000 within just a few miles. Can't say the same thing for the 2.6 that struck Kentucky late Sunday! Too many felt reports to print here including a number of them from all the way North up in Illinois! 34 from Paducah alone!!! Found it unusual, though, that there do not seem to be ANY from over on the other side of the Mississippi River? I'm wondering if this was all shaking perhaps directly ON the New Madrid Fault Line even though I do not know exactly where that line is situated in spite of being very familiar with that area and having traveled extensively there. I could be wrong, but it sounds to me like the east side of that very famous fault line is moving. . . while the west side of it IS NOT. Wondering what will happen next along that region with the anniversary of two of the Great New Madrid Earthquakes being on Jan. 23,and Feb. 27 yet! Ironically the February 27 one is the one that destroyed the city of New Madrid. Also the 50th Anniversary of the Great Alaska Earthquake of March 27, 1964 will be in March So we may have a ways to go watching for more earthquakes caused by severe winter conditions. As it seems possible that 9.2 Richters Good Friday Earthquake 75 Miles East of Anchorage, Alaska was. MIGHT even have to start watching for that to happen, again if you know what I mean!
Now for that 6.1 that struck Greece and of course did a lot of damage, but here is the entire list of earthquakes with the 6.1 moved to the top followed by all the rest with the most recent next, etc.:

That is the whole list, too! Did not edit it as far as removing any, and I think since it comes from the USGS they must start at like 4 Richters although I only saw one 5 on the list?
There was also a 5.1 that struck Southeast of Easter Island coincidentally exactly as we have been watching for in lieu of that 6.3 that struck New Zealand recently and knowing the Pacific Tectonic Plate was probably moving in that direction. . . it will probably mean Chile or Peru next to get as big as like 7 Richters in the coming hours and days and HEADS UP to my friend who noticed the last time I said Peru might be getting an earthquake and THEY GOT ONE!!! Could happen again, Amigo, God Bless You and Your People!!!!! Sincerely, The EQ Alert Guy
