As a lot of you reading this right now already know, I discussed New Zealand in yesterdays EQ Blog @ http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2014/01/several-earthquakes-still-out-there-and.html PARAGRAPH 3 is all about the landfall of Cyclone IAN and today being Day-10 after that landfall, specifically mentioning New Zealand. Although I see I did not mention specifically a magnitude, but want to add it was a landfall with a series of tiny islands in the Pacific and not a huge landfall with the contiguous shoreline of a continent which I still sort of assume makes a difference in the total amount of earthquake energy generated.

Might not be the end of the shaking in New Zealand and I especially noticed Marlborough listed at the top and want to say they were one of the places where like 5 Centimeters of movement was measured during one other earthquake that struck that general region in past years and as then, it could lead to more shaking at Easter Island, or Chile. Although I don't know why it would exactly duplicate the previous event, just saying this tectonic plate movement may lead to continued movement of either the Pacific or Indio/Aust. Tectonic Plates. Let's just watch and see.
Yet another big day of film production coming up Monday! As I write this I am gathering all my stuff for a big courthouse scene and will be putting on a nice shirt and tie and my very nice London Fog jacket I picked up somewhere along the way for just such occasions you know! Seem to have somehow missed both the S.A.G. Awards and the 49ers game, although did see they lost and am very sorry San Francisco! Was getting all ready to tape awards show and could not find it listed? Of course because it was on now 2 days ago and am really sorry I have been far too busy getting ready for big job in Chicago, but am ready for work just the same! And better get going now it is a 2 hour drive and my start time is 7 so I decided I should get into the city plenty early to avoid as much of their early morning rush hour as possible!!!
