Just went back and double-checked my EQ Blog from Saturday, January 25 and found a whole write-up about Virginia City, Nevada getting a 2.7 that was up from others they have had in that area over the last several weeks including a number of swarms that were also noteworthy. NOW TODAY as of around 10am Central Time around 8:27am up in Virginia City where they were struck by a 3.2 Richters Earthquake that looks like it was just a few miles North of Virginia City and apparently rather close to Reno and Sparks! UPDATED, Felt Report just in!!!

Where the potential problem comes in is with the fact that these earthquakes started out as you can see in my EQ Blog of January 11, 2014, a swarm near Reno at Spanish Springs and there have also been a lot of other earthquakes in just that one region recently, too! So, now we are looking at a 3.2 which had a fairly large felt report including Reno and Sparks as well as surprisingly like 5 or 10 felt reports filed from right in Virginia City itself! This one WAS FELT right in beautiful downtown Virginia City and whether it is owing to all the traffic that may be going through there these days or if they opened that VC & T Railroad, I'm not sure but it looks like they have a main highway now running directly through that town and it seems like the last time I was up there it was a few miles off the main road and they were also talking about rebuilding one bridge on the Virginia City & Truckee Railroad to connect it with like Truckee, California again where they just coincidentally also had a swarm of earthquakes back around November 30, 2013!
So, first all the swarms, then eventually that 2.7 struck there on like Saturday, and now we are looking at a 3.2 and time to remind all my readers that we could be looking at bigger and bigger earthquakes up in that region where they DO get some Major Earthquakes occasionally and we are currently watching for something huge with Nevada being a possible place that could get some major shaking! AND the New Moon Window will start bright and early tomorrow morning and run through Wednesday and Thursday this week!!!
